New books!

Last half term was extremely busy behind the scenes with the order and arrival of lots of new books. One of the most popular to date has been ‘One of Us is Lying’ by Karen McManus which has been rated as 5-star by our older girls.  Essentially, it is a thriller set in an American High School – it’s “the story of what happens when five strangers walk into detention and only four walk out alive. Everyone is a suspect, and everyone has something to hide.” Some of the content would make it unsuitable for younger readers so I will be recommending it to Year 9 and above but it is a very good read – one of those I couldn’t put down!
