Colchester Rotary Youth Speaks Competition

Congratulations to Sasha Morgan (Speaker), Sophie Ramsay (Chair) and Emilia Sullivan (Vote of Thanks) who competed in the Colchester heat of the Rotary Youth Speaks Public Speaking Competition on Wednesday evening. Sasha spoke brilliantly on the topic “Are we alone? An extra-terrestrial discussion” and was approached by a recruitment consultant for television and radio who actively encouraged her to consider a career in radio journalism as she has such a superb voice and ability to deliver. Several senior Rotarians made a point of specifically speaking to our team to say they thought the girls were outstanding and implied we were neck and neck with the winners, Colchester Royal Grammar School.
