First prizes awarded to students in ISA Art Competition

Congratulations to former St Mary’s student Imogen and current Year 11 Polly who both came away with 1st prizes at the Independent School Association’s (ISA) Eastern Region Art Competition.

Imogen’s winning piece was a painting of her fellow Year 12 student and St Mary’s friend, Zara, she also received a special award for Best in Show. Polly’s winning piece was her bag made in Textiles; she was also awarded 2nd prize for her sketchbook.

This ISA event was attended by a number of local schools, including staff from St Mary’s Senior School Creative and Performing Arts Faculty. The girls received many compliments on the quality of the work that was exhibited.

Attended by Imogen, Polly and Alessia, this event showcased ISA member schools’ students’ work in an impressive exhibition. The two winning pieces will be entered into the national stage of the competition which will be held at the ISA Autumn Study Conference in November.
