Senior School girls impress at Music and Science Showcase

Scientific research projects and musical performances delighted parents of Year 7 and 8 students on Friday 17 June during our afternoon of science and music.
The Year 8 Science Fair gave students the opportunity to present their projects to parents and staff, who were encouraged to tour the displays and ask questions. Guest speaker Dr Cathy Fordyce, a St Mary’s parent with an extensive medical and dentistry background helped to judge and present the prizes and certificates to the winners.
Talented Year 7 and 8 musicians then entertained, with a varied programme of solo and ensemble pieces displaying talents on instruments and voice. These included piano recitals, performances on cello and ukulele and some beautiful solo and group singing by the girls.
