Wednesday 23 February – Essex County Schools Athletics Association Year 7 and 8 Championship
In the Year 7 girls’ race there were 271 runners so some fantastic results for Sophia who came 27th and Sophie R who came 48th. They all did so well, we are really proud of them. Lots of team spirit, supporting each other which was lovely to see as ever.
There were 251 runners in the Year 8 race, with St Mary’s represented by Eva, Maya, Maisie and Evie. Again, there were great results with Eva coming 42nd and Maya coming 48th. It was a longer race than they have experienced before and definitely muddier than expected, but they are determined and resilient girls, so it didn’t faze them. Well done to the whole team!
