Basketball v TLA

St Mary’s started strong, winning the tip off with good attacking and dropping back to the key and minimal contact. The first shot was made by Annie in the first quarter, giving us 2 points – we kept up good defence and jumping for rebounds. The score after the first quarter was 2-8 to TLA, then St Mary’s Sharks dived into the next quarter determined to keep up good play and the next shot was scored by Scarlett, giving another 2 points for the team.

We kept up good play with Isabella scoring a goal for the team, giving us 6 points by the end of the second quarter. At the end of the quarter, the score was 14-6 to TLA.

By keeping the morale high, we stayed determined with good marking and more pressure. Mollie then scored a goal for the team, making a total of 8 points. By the end of the third quarter, the score was 20-8 to TLA. The last quarter we worked extremely hard and did not let TLA score another goal, and just before the end of the match, Scarlett got another goal for the team making the final score 20-10 to TLA.
