Year 10 Basketball v The Gilberd School

On Wednesday 17 November, our year 10 Basketball team had a match against The Gilberd school. After trying their very hardest, the outcome was 22-2 to The Gilberd. We had an amazing goal scored by Alessia in the 2nd quarter and another attempted by Annie in the 3rd quarter, but it was sadly disallowed. The whole team worked incredibly hard in their match and worked together throughout.

Thursday 18 November

Change for Life Festival 

On Thursday 18 November the Sports Leaders went to Thurstable School to help out with the Change For Life Festival. We worked together with our group of year 3 and 4s and guided them round each of the activities which  included;  parachute games, archery and an obstacle course to name a few.

We found working with the little ones really fun and loved every second. It was such an enjoyable afternoon and opened our minds to new experiences. We had a rota for the different activities and spent 10 minutes on each one. This meant we had lots of chances to do different things and keep the children entertained. One of our personal favourites was the dish and dome game where we played lots of different variations.

It was a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to do it all again! Thank you to Miss Hawkins and the other members of staff for making this possible.
