19 September 2019: Year 9 Netball teams v Colchester County High School for Girls

Last night, our two Year 9 Netball teams played Colchester County High School for Girls (CCHSG) in a friendly match. Some positive play from both teams at such an early stage in the season, made for a well natured, yet competitive game, with both Louisa and Charlotte captaining their teams effectively. Charlotte’s team initially struggled with adapting to the height of the CCHSG students, coupled with some great shooting from their GS saw CCHSG take an early lead, although it was very pleasing to see us improve our play throughout the game. Louisa’s team kept CCHSG at bay only allowing them to score 2 goals in the first quarter, again as we settled into our play, their passing improved as did their defensive play. Despite losing both games it was a very positive start, and I look forward to a great season ahead.
