17 May 2019
To mark St Mary’s International Week, 13 to 17 May 2019 the Senior School students and staff dressed in costumes inspired by a country of their choice. With Austria, Nigeria, Ukraine and India (to name a few) represented, everyone made a great effort to celebrate being a citizen of the world! Over £300 was raised from the non-uniform day contributions, which will be donated to the Senior School’s charity of the year Catherine Bullen Foundation. At lunchtime, the girls have been enjoying an international-themed meal every day this week! On the menu was Greek souvlaki, Mexican nachos and Caribbean curry. A programme of activities was on offer throughout the week, including a careers in Languages workshop, Latin rhythm salsa session and an international treasure hunt.
