Penny Joelson was really inspiring when she visited us on Tuesday 26 March as I hadn’t appreciated her own personal links to the illness ME which afflicts the character Kasia in Penny’s book ‘Girl in the Window’.
Penny told us that she had shown a flair for writing at a very young age but it wasn’t until she was able to capitalize on the time that ME eventually afforded her, that her talents really came to the fore. Quite remarkable.
She is currently writing her third book.
As good as they are I deliberately omitted Penny’s books (which many are already reading) from the new recommended reading lists which I’ve put together for those who want to immerse themselves in a good book whilst eating their Easter eggs!
