Discovering the fascinating world of the scenic artists and craftspeople who create the stunning sets and scenery for the world-famous Royal Opera House, the Year 11 Textiles students went on a tour of the Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop and Costume Centre on Tuesday 29 January. They took part in a Costume Construction (BA Hons) workshop, learning how to breakdown, distress and age a garment to tell the story of a character – even making their own imitation blood!
