Year 11 Basketball v St Benedict’s College 

On Tuesday 9 January, the Year 11 St Mary’s basketball team played St Benedict’s College, the game started slowly with us leading 4-2. The game continued to be evenly matched with both teams struggling to take the scoring opportunities. We, however maintained our lead and were 10-6 up going into the final quarter. With opportunities from both ends, St Benedict’s College found their shooting form first, and eventually won 14-12.

Year 7 Basketball v The Gilberd School

A very excited Year 7 Basketball team played in four friendly, 3v3 games against The Gilberd School on Thursday 10 January. After a tentative start, the play became more competitive with some good defensive work from both teams and some excellent shooting from Annabelle’s team. Final scores were:

Game 1: 6-4 to St Mary’s

Game 2: 6-8 to The Gilberd

Game 3: 12-10 to St Mary’s

Game 4: 2-18 to The Gilberd
