Our Year 8 students worked with the Colchester Borough Council Street Wardens today. They were divided into five groups in the morning and got stuck in to litter picking in Colchester town centre, Hilly Fields, Castle Park, Greenstead and Stanway areas. They also observed the Wardens chatting with the public on issues such as anti-social behaviour and dog fouling. The afternoon was spent taking part in a variety of activities surrounding the issues of recycling and waste in the local community, the students were rewarding for their efforts with an ice lolly provided by Mrs Wilding!
