Junior Literary Festival: Chloë Inkpen

What a fantastic start to our Junior Literary Festival with children’s picture book author and illustrator and the co-creator of the Zoe and Beans series, Chloë Inkpen! St Mary’s Kindergarten, Prep and Years 1 and 2 were joined by pupils from Kelvedon St Mary’s and Langham Primary School, they had great fun taking part in lively, entertaining and interactive activities! In her sessions, Chloë brought her books alive and together with the children, they created Derek the spider and Rainbow the chameleon! Chloë has a natural gift for storytelling which kept even the youngest St Mary’s pupils captivated for over 45 minutes! The children had the chance to look at a great selection of Chloë’s books and choose their favourites to buy at the book signing.

Chloë Inkpen grew up surrounded by her father Mick Inkpen’s picture books including the Kipper and Wibbly Pig series. She released her debut picture book Where is Binky Boo? in 2011 and has gone on to publish many more such as I Will Love You Anyway and her newest book, The Hole in the Zoo.
