The Prep class had a sunny visit to Essex Wildlife Trust’s Abbotts Hall Farm nature reserve in Great Wigborough, situated on the Blackwater Estuary on Tuesday 8 May. The girls enjoyed exploring the 700 acre coastal farm on a nature trail walk, using nets to sweep the grass for mini beasts and looking at habitats, searching for evidence that animals had visited the area. This pupils made flat breads, cooking them outside so they had the chance to taste their creations! After a picnic lunch, everyone went pond dipping, identifying the insects they saw.
