Undeterred by last week’s snow, St Mary’s pupils instead participated in World Book Day one week later with literary activities and colourful costumes.
Alice in Wonderland and Little Red Riding Hood stopped by to enjoy a story in Kindergarten, whilst the Lower School was privileged to have the likes of Albus Dumbledore and the Queen of Hearts strolling casually around the corridors. There are even reports Cruella De Vil was spotted enjoying a lesson. The Senior School opened an inspired pop-up Literary Café and a bustling book sale with excellent supplies from Red Lion Books.
It is encouraging to see pupils so enthusiastic about their favourite stories and World Book Day gives an ideal opportunity to celebrate, learn and share new favourite titles.
Until next year!
