3 November 2017
On Wednesday 1 November our Year 5 and 6 pupils arrived at school for 7.15am to set off to London to take part in the Barnardo’s Young Supporters Charity Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. They arrived for rehearsals at 11.30am alongside 1,300 other children and the sound they created was amazing! The pupils were lucky enough to be conducted by Douglas Coombes MBE in this prestigious venue – a fantastic opportunity for the girls to perform in front of a professional conductor in such a beautiful setting. Pineapple Performing Arts and Adele Stitch school of dance also provided some brilliant dance routines!
The girls worked very hard to prepare for this concert and they all did extremely well. It was a very long day for them all, but one that I hope will be memorable for many years to come.
This concert was to raise money for Barnardo’s to help transform the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK.
