World Book Day

World Book Day

Characters from favourite books jumped off the page this week when World Book Day was celebrated throughout the school.

Kindergarten children dressed up as The Gruffalo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Elmer, while Lower School pupils enjoyed sharing their favourite picture books with a friend. They even enjoyed a literary-themed lunch of Lady and the Tramp spaghetti and meatballs, Swallows and Amazons garlic boats and Matilda’s chocolate cake!

David Walliams’ book ‘Blob’ proved particularly popular with Senior School students who exchanged their World Book Day tokens at our book sale on 3 March. The most popular genres for general book sales were mystery, fantasy and crime fiction.
