Job Title: Peripatetic Cello Teacher (Self-Employed)
Reporting to: Subject Lead – Music
Hours: Zero – self-employed, peripatetic
This is a peripatetic position, and you will not be employed by St Mary’s School. You will be self-employed and invoice parents directly for any lessons.
Main duties and responsibilities
Will carry out the following duties as directed by the Subject Lead – Music:
- Teach individual lessons from beginner up to post Grade 8 standard.
- Provide inspiration to pupils to enable them to perform to their best ability.
- Tailor lessons to suit each individual pupil, inspiring and encouraging them to practice and progress.
- Set realistic, motivating targets for pupils and encourage them to enter for examinations as appropriate.
- Arrange lesson times in accordance with the pupils’ timetables.
- Maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and St Mary’s staff.
You are required to hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
