A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at St Mary’s Independent Senior School for an enthusiastic, passionate English and Drama Teacher. Early applications are encouraged to avoid disappointment.

Reporting to the Faculty Lead for Languages and Faculty Lead for the Creative Arts as line managers, this position off ers an exciting opportunity for a well qualified and enthusiastic teacher with experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 English and Drama and leading high quality school productions which are essential for developing pupil talent and showcasing St Mary’s in a marketing capacity. We are a supportive and dynamic school, and we also welcome keen ECTs to apply who want to develop their teaching skills.

We are a highly successful independent day school for girls aged 3-16 years and boys aged 3-4 years situated on the outskirts of Colchester in Essex. St Mary’s is a member of the Girls’ Schools Association, the Independent Association of Prep Schools and the prestigious Round Square organisation.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, dynamic, and suitably qualified teacher who has a passion for both English and Drama and is excited by teaching and learning developments. This unique opportunity invites the successful applicant to work with other members of the Faculty and the wider School in supporting students in making a positive transition to develop, grow and enrich their lives beyond their education at St Mary’s.
