Exploring the Edge Hotel School

Year 10 Food and Nutrition students visited the Edge Hotel School at Wivenhoe House on Wednesday 26 February to experience the hospitality industry in action. The girls explored the 4* country house hotel on the University of Essex Colchester campus to discover how degree-level students and professional staff come together in a learning and high-quality service environment.
Taking a glimpse behind the scenes at the facilities, the students toured the professional kitchens, offices, bedrooms, lounges and restaurants before listening to a presentation about the degree level courses on offer.
The group enjoyed a delicious three-course lunch in The Brasserie, prepared and served by the Edge Hotel students.
