Tuesday 3 March
Year 9 Netball v Philip Morant School
On Tuesday the Year 9s played Philip Morant School in what was looking like a very important game. We started strongly scoring some quick goals in the first quarter, although from the second quarter onwards Philip Morant began to improve in their play. Final score 13-12 to St Mary’s which is hopefully enough to put us into the semi-finals. Well done to all who played.

We began playing strongly, dominating the game. We made the most of our chances to score some great goals and our defence was good, this was shown by the score at the end of the second quarter. Philip Morant fought back in the third and fourth quarter, but they couldn’t do enough to get the win. The final score was 13-12 to us. Well done girls!

Year 8 Netball v Philip Morant School
The Year 8s work rate was fantastic in their game, against a strong opposition. Unfortunately, despite some good play we were unable to make all of their opportunities count and eventually lost 8-21.

Wednesday 4 March
Year 7 7-a-side football
On Wednesday 4th March we played a football tournament. The first match we played was against Thurstable School and we drew. Evie did very well and had a lot of shots, sadly no one scored but everyone played amazingly! The next match we played was against Paxman Academy, this was a tough match because they were a really good team. It ended 1-0 to them, but we played well too. I thought that Lauren performed well with lots of tricks and skills and well done to Ella with her amazing tackles! The next team we played was Stanway. The score was 2-0 to them but that doesn’t matter as we have only just started playing football together and are still growing as a team and we played well. Congratulations to everyone else who played today; Imogen, Olivia, Katie, Isabelle and Tilly – you were all great.
