Lower School Poetry Competition

From ‘Hickory, Dickory, Dock’ to ‘The Jabberwocky’, the finals of the Lower School’s Poetry Competition on 7 July was a wonderful occasion.

The winners in each year group presented their poems to family, friends and the rest of the school with great confidence and expression. The standard was incredibly high and it was a very difficult job for our judges – Mrs Vipond, our librarian Mrs Cassell and Mrs Hampson, who teaches English at the Senior School and leads Public Speaking.
