St Mary’s scientists achieve National Awards in Biology Challenge 2017

5 June 2017

Five St Mary’s Year 9 and 10 students have achieved Awards in the National Biology Challenge competition, run by the Royal Society of Biology.

This was in the form of two exams with questions partially on the school Biology curriculum, especially aimed at GCSE level, and also on general biological understanding and an appreciation on the natural world.

Many hundreds of students across the country entered the competition, so it was a great achievement that National Bronze Awards were presented to Kaia and Ria, both Year 9, and Anna, Year 10, while Silver Awards were achieved by Amelie and Sasha, both Year 10.
