CHINESE NEW YEAR
Year 2 have been learning about Chinese New Year. At the end of the topic they celebrated their new knowledge by holding a Chinese Day. The girls wore Chinese clothes and practised calligraphy using authentic Chinese paintbrushes. They made a paper lantern and fan, a dragon, and a red money envelope. In the afternoon the girls enjoyed egg and rice noodles, prawn crackers, bean sprouts and stir fry vegetables with sweet and sour sauce. This delicious fare was followed with Jasmine tea and fortune cookies. Year 2 would like to wish everyone a very happy Year of the Dragon!
