FRENCH FILMS IN LONDON
On Tuesday 24th January eight year nine girls travelled to London to spend the day at The British Film Institute with Mrs Boardman and Mrs Thompson. After a busy journey into London, we watched a series of short films which were all spoken in French. The films were based around love; text message horoscopes about meeting a soul mate, young love when six years old and love in the olden days in France - trés romantique! This gave us a fantastic opportunity to learn some new vocabulary and interact with each other as we worked through questions about the films. After lunch, we enjoyed a full-length feature film, entirely in French with English subtitles. This film was really exciting – it was about a girl’s quest to find an Egyptian mummy to bring back from the dead so it could save her sister. It was a great learning experience for everyone!
