Athletics success!

A 30-strong St Mary’s athletics squad represented the school at the Colchester Inter-partnership Athletics Championships, held at Colchester Garrison on Thursday 3 May. There were some impressive performances from students in Years 7 to 10, notably Zoe, Year 7 who achieved second place in the 1500m race; Claudia, Year 8, who came third in the shot; Jessica, Year 9, who came second in the 800m; Ciara, also Year 9, who came third in the 1500m and Clemmie, Year 10, who came third  in both 800m and shot. The sunny weather helped to create a pleasant atmosphere, and the team members really supported each other. Well done to all who took part!
